The Story
VETCares Home Furnishings and More Thrift Store has opened its flagship store at 2101 S Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV. All goods in the store are donated by local individuals, businesses, and organizations. The sale proceeds generated from donations will directly benefit Military/Veteran personnel through various VETCares’ programs which focus on:
- Suicide Prevention through Alternative Therapy
- Low-income Emergency Assistance Grants
- Low-income Housing Grants
- Financial Education & Counseling
- Guided Healing & Wellness Retreats
- Affordable Housing
As we repurpose home furnishings, we assist the local, active Military and Veteran communities in the following ways:
1. Provide affordable gently-used home furnishing items to the local community.
2. Sale proceeds from repurpose furnishings support grants for our active Military and Veteran communities.
3. Provide affordable quality home furnishings for PCS’ing Military service members to set-up their home, and also the store offers an opportunity to give back to fellow service members through furniture donations as they depart to their next duty station.
VETCares Home Furnishings and More Thrift Store supports the VETCares mission assisting Military and Veteran personnel as a result of a hardship. VETCares’ programs assist with short-term grants, as well as, ensure long-term sustainability through counseling, healing, and affordable housing programs. As part of a National charitable organization, the VETCares Home Furnishings and More Thrift Store’s first location is in Las Vegas, NV. However, many more are planned to launch across America. Our mission is life-changing and relies upon the generous donations from the local community.
